The idea behind WayX
Speed and the standard should never be a trade-off.
Every design tool makes you choose. Move fast and risk the standard, or slow down to get it right. WayX is built to refuse that choice. The layout is automatic, and the clauses it enforces are checked as you type, once the viewing distance and the mounting height are declared. Fail one and the print file is withheld. The rules decide, and the verdict names the clauses they cover.

Checked, clause by clause
Where the ADA binds, every layout is measured against ADA 703.5.5 and 703.5.6 once the viewing distance and the mounting height are declared; until then the row says the clause was not checked. It does not check §703.5.1, 703.5.2, 703.5.3, 703.5.4, 703.5.7, 703.5.8 and 703.5.9, and the verdict says so. Where a clause it checks is not met, the print file is withheld.

Name the destinations, the directions and where the sign is installed. WayX groups them by direction automatically.
It checks what it can cite
Where the ADA binds, every element is measured against ADA 703.5.5 and 703.5.6 once the viewing distance and the mounting height are declared; until then the row says the clause was not checked. Each clause is met or not on its own terms, and the verdict names the clauses of §703.5 that were not checked.
Send it to print
Export SVG or PDF at exact size. The print PDF carries bleed and CMYK, with text as outlines. Ready for the print shop. No Illustrator needed.
Why WayX

Direction-grouped layout
Destinations group by direction with shared arrows and balanced columns. It's the real logic from working airport signs, not a naive template.
Live checks
ADA 703.5.5 and 703.5.6 measured once the viewing distance and the mounting height are declared; until then the row says the clause was not checked. Each is cited on its own row. Contrast is checked as a WayX baseline, not as law.
Federal ADA, stated plainly
A US sign is held to federal ADA. California and Texas have been read for §703.5, but WayX does not check them on the directional sign: it says a local code is unchecked rather than assuming it is met. Under California the room sign is also held to CBC 11B-703, in part.
